Ability Connection, a 67 year-old 501 c3 nonprofit, serves over 700 people with all types of intellectual or other developmental disabilities across Texas.

Our Core Values of Compassion, Respect and Results drives us to provide world class services for our members and their families with an individualized focus on each person’s ability and the belief in each individual’s potential.
Through our “one person” focus, we learn what priorities individuals and families want and we work diligently to address those choices and goals.

Our services and supports include physical and occupational therapy, adult day habilitation, assistive technology, transportation, residential care, information and referral, case management and in-home support to our members and their families
.

In THE Fall OF 2020 we partnered with Ability connection to expand and build a new state-of-the-art group home in the dallas area.

ANYA'S HOUSE
Construction completed january 2023

The Residential Program at Ability Connection has been providing 24 hour care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities for decades. We operate and maintain 7 group homes throughout the Dallas/Ft Worth area.  Residents receive supervision from dedicated and caring staff, according to their needs, in settings from semi-independent to 24/7 care. Our staff members provide frequent feedback to family members giving them peace of mind that their loved one is safe and well. Many residents choose to attend Ability Connection Training Centers during the week and have access to community events on the weekends.Home and Community Based Service (HCS) Group Home programThe Home and Community Based Service (HCS) Group Home program at Ability Connection currently has 4 homes in the DFW area, with more planned for the future. Each home provides family-style living for 4 adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Our homes allow our members to live their best life with as much independence as possible, while still providing access to 24 hour care for their health and safety.

Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) Group Home programThe Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) Group Home program at Ability Connection currently has 3 homes in the DFW area. Each home provides family-style living for up to six adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Our homes allow individuals to live with as much autonomy and independence as possible, while providing 24 hour care for their health and safety.
